but i would go 4 or 5 speed manual.. i have 2 mustang T5 rear extention housings on their way from the USA right now so a T5 into your cortina is easy and legal... you will also make 20hp more at the rear wheels on a dyno with a manual and it will cruise better with an overdrive and no converter slip.. then you could go 3.7 gears and have a better chance at an 11 second pass.. cheers

Bugger me i cant bloody decide because i want a manual but this was supposed to be freshen up but now....Well i like manuals but the missus already doesnt like the sound of the hp and she's slack lol.... i would like the extra 20hp, just let me know when i come down on friday how much the mustang ext housing is and i will go from there.

i remember my first cortina with that solid cam in it and a 4 speed single rail. i would floor it in 3rd at about 60km and wheel spin for about 100 meters and then chirp into 4th.. now that was fun.... i would eat V8s for lunch.. cheers

Just wondering glen, with the setup im going with is it able to have NOS put on it and what sort of NOS system would work (most powerful). Just asking.

hi Chris, yes you can use Nitrous and 100-150hp would be fine and a plate wet system is the only way to go.. just remember that whatever a kits costs new, add about $1500 for a fuel system and fitting with a safe dynoed setup.. cheers

At the end of the day whatwould you estimate a setup worth seconds wise. One more quick thing, can you run p/steer and a/c with the crow 736?
